**Reality is just shared illusions**
M.G is a Danish American artist. She has deep roots in the eternal
pulsating melting pot of New York city from where her father, a world
renowned jazz musician Sahib Shihab originated.
Presently she is based north of Copenhagen Denmark in a charming
seaside town called Hellerup. She travels frequently to India and New York, where she
gathers much of her inspiration.
Quotes that describe her artistic expression are known as; feminine
electrifying and explosive. Her colours represent spiritualism and
exoticism.
Her motives are dramatic, concentrating on the grand themes of life
such as powerlessness and abuse, sorrow and joy, love and hate, life
and death. These motives are expressed with a minimalist and near naive
approach.
In all of her paintings the spectator will find body parts and hidden
abstractions with erotic currents.
M.G. as a person is very deep and dreaming while simultaneously being
full of contrast; black and white as her cultural heritage, tranquil
and temperamental, attractive and repulsive, shy and dangerous,
controlled yet impulsive...
