John Reuss

John Reuss is a German/Danish artist whos work has been described as existential, psychological and surreal. The artist’s thoughts about human existence are central for the pictures that deal with themes such as alienation, loneliness and the pursuit for an unattainable inner harmony. The colors often being a cheerful contradiction to the more serious matter of the motif. John Reuss likes to work in fairly large scale - the preferred medium being acrylics, but he also experiments with various other mediums such as his own blood.
